SCUMAXCON SYNC 3 Upgrade Kits & APIM Modules for Ford

Choose an upgrade kit or an APIM-only module

This listing includes different SYNC 3 package options for compatible Ford vehicles. Select the package, map region and wired or wireless connectivity you need. Options labelled “Only SYNC3 APIM Module” are not complete SYNC 2-to-SYNC 3 conversion kits.

Which option do I need?

• APIM only: choose only after confirming you already have the matching SYNC 3 screen, USB hub and other required installation hardware. Replacing only the APIM does not convert an original SYNC 2 system into a complete SYNC 3 setup.
• Wired CarPlay / Android Auto options: phone projection uses a USB connection. The option you select determines the map configuration and package price.
• Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto options: choose an option explicitly labelled Wireless if you want wireless phone projection. SYNC 3 does not provide wireless CarPlay or Android Auto natively; a compatible wireless adapter is required. Contact us to confirm the adapter and package contents for your selected option.

Map and storage options

• 8G + No Map: no built-in map package is included.
• 32G + US Map: select for the listed US map configuration.
• 64G + EU Map: select for the listed European map configuration.

Choose the map region for your intended use. These labels describe the selected APIM configuration, not a universal map package for every country. Contact us if your destination is outside the listed map regions.

Upgrading an original SYNC 2 system?

A SYNC 2-to-SYNC 3 conversion needs a matching SYNC 3 screen, APIM and compatible USB hub, plus the correct connections for your vehicle. The original SYNC 2 screen cannot simply be retained with a replacement SYNC 3 APIM. Send us photos of your current system so we can confirm the right package.

VIN pre-programming before dispatch

After ordering, send your order number, vehicle model, model year and VIN to service@scumaxcon.com. We need these details to configure the APIM for your vehicle before shipping. Include dashboard photos and details of your original system, factory audio system, reversing camera and other equipment so we can check compatibility.

Language setup is available before dispatch. Listed languages include English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Hungarian. Tell us your preferred language instead of relying only on the delivery country.
