2. Bluetooth doesn't work, it shows “KEY OFF”

When Bluetooth behaves abnormally, it may be accompanied by the following symptoms:

  • Bluetooth cannot connect or does not work
  • The unit does not shut down automatically
  • The backlight does not turn on

If you encounter this situation, there is no need to worry. Please follow the steps below to check and resolve the issue:

(1). Check whether the factory connector has been modified

Some vehicles previously had an Android head unit installed, and a modified wiring harness may have been used.

If the connector does not match the original factory plug, please first verify whether the wiring is correct.

(2). Check ACC and ILL wiring

Locate the ACC and ILL wires.

Refer to the RCD360 series pinout diagram and compare it with the vehicle-side connector to confirm that each wire is in the correct position.

(3). Confirm positive and negative polarity

Make sure the wiring is correctly matched:

  • Positive to positive
  • Negative to negative

If any wires are reversed or in the wrong position, please adjust them manually to ensure proper connection.

!!!! Special case:

For Polo 9N3 vehicles originally equipped with RCD200 and without a multifunction steering wheel, if Bluetooth shows “Key Off”, a specific adapter cable is required to resolve this issue.

Please contact our customer support team to obtain the correct cable for your vehicle.

3. Antenna cable can not connect or doesn't fit

(1) If your antenna plug like follow picture,

Solution: You can try removing the white circular insert in the middle, and then it should be able to connect properly.

(2) If your antenna plug like follow picture,

It does not look like an original VW antenna connector. It is likely that the outer plastic housing of the antenna has fallen off — is that correct?
In this condition, the plug should normally be able to be inserted.

Solution: If it still does not fit, you can try removing the metal ring from the antenna socket on the back of our unit and then try connecting it again.

4. Why does the backlight of the head unit flicker?

It flickers whether the unit is turned on or off. The flickering is not constant — it usually starts after driving for about 10 minutes, lasts for around 2 minutes, and then stops.

Solution: This issue is caused by a mismatch in the dashboard illumination (instrument light) brightness setting.

Please adjust the instrument panel dimmer to the maximum brightness. In most cases, this will fully resolve the flickering issue.

The dimmer switch is usually located next to the headlight switch.
